Electric Power Board Chattanooga (EPB) is seeking proposals from qualified electrical contractors to provide full turnkey services for converting approximately two (2) miles of overhead electric power lines to underground infrastructure. The selected contractor will be responsible for managing and scheduling all work, coordinating flagging operations, maintaining active 1-call notifications, and working closely with EPB on material pulls, customer outages, and conflict resolution. This project is supported by a Department of Energy GRIP grant, and all labor must comply with Davis-Bacon wage requirements. The goal is to enhance grid resilience and reliability through strategic undergrounding efforts.

Electric Power Board Chattanooga (EPB) is seeking pricing and lead time information for three-phase pad-mount transformers with a primary voltage rating of 12,047 volts and a secondary voltage rating of 120/208 volts. We are specifically interested in units sized at 1000 kVA, 1500 kVA, and 2000 kVA, with an immediate focus on identifying costs and availability for up to three (3) units at the 1500 kVA rating. These types of transformers have not been purchased by EPB in the past, and at this time, we do not have a forecast or projection for future demand. Our intent is to better understand current market pricing and delivery timelines for these units, particularly to support near-term needs for the 1500 kVA model. EPB plans to make these transformers inventory items and will award this competitive bid based on the combination of unit pricing and lead times. While these units are not required to meet Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements, we do request confirmation as to whether they comply with BABA standards.

Electric Power Board Chattanooga (EPB) is requesting proposals to replace its current video encoder platform, which provides encoding for approximately 500 channels. EPB plans to migrate to the new encoding platform in two phases, replacing roughly half of the platform in Fiscal Year 2026 (ending June 30, 2026), and the second half in Fiscal Year 2027 (ending June 30, 2027).
The objective of this RFP is to evaluate distinct solutions across three categories: (1) high-density encoders supporting lower resolutions (720p60/1080p30), (2) lower-density encoders supporting higher resolution (1080p60), and (3) encoders capable of ultra-HD encoding (2160p60). Specify how many channels per profile can be encoded on a single encoder.
