Managed Detection and Response - 1 Year

Request for Proposal (RFP) for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Service 1. Introduction EPB is seeking proposals from qualified Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service providers to enhance our cybersecurity capabilities. The selected MDR provider must integrate seamlessly with our existing security infrastructure and Salesforce ticketing system. 2. Project Overview The goal of this project is to partner with an MDR provider that can offer comprehensive monitoring, detection, and response to security threats across our IT environment. This includes a test phase to evaluate the service's effectiveness before committing to a long-term contract. 3. Requirements 3.1 General Requirements • Location: The MDR service provider must be based in the United States. • Integration: Must integrate with our Salesforce ticketing system. • Data Collection: Detailed explanation of how data will be collected, stored, and protected. • Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Defined SLAs with clear response times. • Log Ingestion: Ability to ingest logs from various sources. • Data Access and Control: Ability to access our data within their solution at any time without the need to make a request. • Incident Response: Availability of incident response capabilities (as a bonus). • SOAR Setup: Assistance in setting up Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) capabilities (as a bonus). 3.2 Security Technology Stack The MDR service must support and integrate with a range of security technologies, which will be disclosed upon the signing of an NDA. 4. Scope of Work The MDR provider will be responsible for: • 24/7 monitoring of security events • Threat detection, analysis, and response • Incident management and reporting • Regular security assessments and recommendations for improvements • Compliance with our data protection and privacy policies • Dedicated Engineering contact 5. Evaluation Criteria Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: • Demonstrated experience and expertise in providing MDR services • Capability to integrate with our existing IT and security infrastructure • Clarity and detail in describing data collection and protection methods • Defined SLAs and guaranteed response times • Competitive pricing and value for money • Positive references and customer testimonials • Availability of incident response capabilities (bonus) • Ability to assist in setting up SOAR capabilities (bonus) 6. Submission Requirements Please include the following in your proposal: • Company overview and qualifications • Detailed description of your MDR service offerings • Explanation of how you will integrate with our ITSC Salesforce ticketing system • Approach to data collection, storage, and protection • Proposed SLAs with response times • Case studies or examples of previous work with similar organizations • Pricing structure and any additional costs • Description of incident response capabilities (if available) • Description of SOAR setup assistance (if available) • Contact information for further inquiries 7. Test Phase We require a test phase to evaluate the effectiveness of the MDR service. Please outline your proposed test plan, including duration, objectives, and success criteria.
