Jason Eldridge

Engineering Technician ll Power System

With 15 years of experience in energy efficiency and commercial energy support, Jason is a certified RESNET HERS Rater, ENERGY STAR Certified Rater, and holds multiple credentials from the Building Performance Institute (BPI), including Certified Building Analyst, Energy Auditor, and Quality Control Inspector.

Since launching the Home Uplift program in 2017, Jason has helped complete energy upgrades for more than 800 homes, reducing energy use by over 900,000 kilowatt-hours and earning recognition as TVA’s top performer in 2019. Through these efforts, he’s helped lower energy burdens for low-income customers while improving their comfort and quality of life.

Outside of work, Jason enjoys restoring old cars and trucks, playing guitar, and spending time with his two grandsons. He’s passionate about lifelong learning and helping customers find new ways to save energy.

Elizabeth Hammitt

Director Residential Energy and Environmental Solutions

Elizabeth brings more than 18 years of experience in the energy industry and organizational sustainability. She is a graduate of Warren Wilson College and holds multiple professional credentials, including Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership from Harvard University, LEED AP O+M, WELL AP, and Sustainability Excellence Professional certifications.

Elizabeth collaborates closely with customers to advance their sustainability goals. In one project, she worked alongside a customer’s Key Account Engineer to establish their emissions baseline and deliver a range of mitigation options under a tight deadline—helping them make timely, informed decisions for their organization’s future.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys running with friends, weight training, hydroponic gardening, reading fiction, volunteering, and planning new adventures with her family.

Angela Love

Manager of Energy Services

Angela Love is a results-driven leader with over 17 years of dedicated service at EPB, where she currently serves as Manager of Energy Services. In this role, she leads with innovation and integrity—qualities she brings wholeheartedly to every customer experience. Her approach is rooted in a deep commitment to serving others and meeting people at their point of need.

Before joining EPB, Angela spent 21.5 years with FedEx Corporation, where she held leadership roles for 15 of those years. Her career has been defined by a strong focus on excellence, teamwork, and community impact across both organizations.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Angela’s dedication to service extends throughout the Chattanooga community. She serves as President of the Scenic South District United Women in Faith, Board Member of the Bethlehem Center, Board Member of the EPB Employees Credit Union, and Co-Chair of the Spark Mentoring Program at EPB, a role she has held for the past 14 years. Most recently, she was elected President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Chattanooga Chapter, Inc.

For Angela, leadership is more than a title—it is a responsibility to listen, uplift, and leave a lasting legacy.

Dewayne Lowe

Senior Key Customer Engineer

Dewayne is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management. He is also a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers.

With more than 20 years of experience in energy efficiency and commercial energy support, Dewayne has partnered with numerous U.S. manufacturers to improve operations and reduce costs through innovative demand response programs, energy management strategies, and facility upgrades.

Outside of work, he enjoys family projects, bass fishing, and finding new ways to innovate, learn, and reduce waste.

Joe McGee

Key Customer Engineer

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and brings two years of experience in energy efficiency and commercial energy support.

One of his favorite customer success stories involves helping a local warehouse on Wauhatchie Pike reduce energy consumption by more than 100,000 kilowatt-hours through an EnergyRight LED upgrade—improving efficiency, visibility, and safety for employees.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching films, and writing short stories.

David Nordy, PE

Director Energy Solutions, EPB

David leads a diverse team focused on electric system planning, advanced grid infrastructure, energy programs and customer support. With a background in electrical engineering, he previously managed EPB’s Distribution Standards and Design team and has contributed to electric vehicle charging initiatives and cross-functional energy efforts.

Before joining EPB, David worked as a Power Systems Engineer at the Tennessee Valley Authority. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. A licensed Professional Engineer, he also serves on the City of Chattanooga Electrical Examiners board.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, weightlifting, camping, exploring new technology, and staying active in his church community.

LaTara Patton

Energy Services Specialist

LaTara has served in many roles in Customer Relations and Operations since starting her career at EPB over 20 years ago. Today, LaTara serves as Energy Services Specialist where she supports the EPB Energy Pros for Business team managing the administrative side of many of EPB’s Energy Efficiency programs and related databases.

LaTara holds certifications in Tourism and Travel Management and Customer Service and Dale Carnagie Training. She enjoys spending time with family, building community and volunteering with her church.

Leah Pertl

Commercial Energy Analyst

Leah Pertl provides strategic key account management for commercial customers across the Chattanooga area. She works to strengthen partnerships with local businesses and organizations, delivering tailored energy solutions that enhance efficiency and long-term growth.

Before joining EPB, Leah led the EV Program Delivery team at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), overseeing electric vehicle incentives and services for residential, commercial, and equity-focused communities. Her leadership helped secure and implement the California Energy Commission’s REACH 2.0 grant, expanding access to EV charging at multifamily properties across the region.

Leah holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Organizational Leadership and an MBA from William Jessup University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

J. T. Suggs

Key Customer Engineer

J.T. Suggs joined EPB in 2023 as a Key Account Engineer, bringing with him a strong background in power engineering and the nuclear energy sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). In his current role, he partners with commercial and industrial customers on a wide range of energy-related matters—from complex project planning and billing inquiries to economic development initiatives.

With a passion for aligning sound engineering decisions with solid business principles, J.T. finds it rewarding to help customers understand how their actions impact energy costs. He is a firm believer in EPB’s role in elevating the quality of life, supporting local economies, and delivering reliable service to the community we serve.

David Vanzant

Energy Services/Field Operations

Key Customer Engineer

David is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in education. He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt and is a Certified Energy Manager. He focuses on local government, schools, and leads EPB’s initiative in the School Uplift program. In addition, he serves on the EPB Electric Vehicle Team and is motivated to support customers to meet their energy goals.

He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing bass guitar, watching sports (Go Vols!), cooking and baking, tinkering/making things (3D printing, laser cutting, CNC routing), and playing board games.

John T. Watts III

Senior Supervisor, Energy Services

John brings extensive hands-on expertise in electrical systems, with a background spanning control wiring, residential and commercial energy, renewables, and electric vehicle infrastructure. A graduate of Chattanooga State Technical College’s HVAC and Electrical program, he has also worked as a machinist and continues to apply a deep technical understanding to every project he undertakes.

He is a licensed Electrical Contractor and Journeyman with both the City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County, holds a NABCEP Associate Certification, and serves on the Hamilton County Electrical Board. John also holds a City of Chattanooga Plant Masters License.

Outside of work, John enjoys home improvement projects, spending time with his family by the pool or at the ballfields, and relaxing outdoors in the country air.

William Young

Senior Engineering Technician, Energy Services

With 21 years of experience in energy efficiency and commercial energy support, William brings deep technical expertise and a hands-on approach to helping customers improve performance and reduce costs. He holds an Associate Degree in Electronics (Industrial Option) from Chattanooga State and is a Certified Energy Manager, Key Public Power Account Executive, Level 1 Thermographer, and Journeyman Electrician.

William is dedicated to helping customers find practical, effective solutions for their energy challenges and takes pride in supporting their long-term success.

Outside of work, he enjoys being active in his church and is passionate about helping people grow and better themselves. A lifelong learner, William is always looking for new ways to improve and to inspire others to do the same.
