EPB will determine the appropriate equipment necessary to supply service to your new construction location. A sales order will follow. EPB’s standard service is underground facilities including pad-mounted transformers.

Note: EPB will provide $3,000 of credit for each unit (New Growth Construction Credit) towards the cost of EPB’s construction to serve the MDU. Any costs that exceed the credit will be applied to the customer in the form of a sales order or contract that must be signed before construction can begin.

Required Step

Contact your EPB representative once site is at final grade, prior to road paving. Ensure there is a clear path between EPB’s facilities and your service point.

EPB Action & Commitment

EPB is responsible for excavating the trench, installing electrical facilities, backfilling the trench with original dirt and minimal compaction.

If convenient and to reduce potential costs owed to EPB, you may excavate the primary cable trench yourself. Please click here for trenching guidelines.
